Antique Furniture Restoration

Hello and welcome to my website.

My name is David Eastwood and I specialise in restoring and repairing antique furniture, French Polishing and desktop leathering. if you have antique furniture that's showing visible signs of damage or simple "wear and tear", I can bring it back to it's original condition.

I have over 35 years experience in the furniture industry, from modern to antique furniture. I am City and Guilds qualified in traditional and modern finishing, following a three-year apprenticeship. A highlight of my career was performing a "polishing and leathering" demonstration to the general public in 2004 at Castle Howard during the opening of the private bedrooms which had been damaged by fire.

I work alongside the antique trade as well as the general public. All of my work is done to the highest standard. If "on site" polishing is required (Staircases, floors, etc.) I have full public liability insurance so I can complete my services in your home with full peace of mind.

Finally, i'm based in the Yorkshire area.
